The International Mind Sports Association – IMSA – has informed us that for the 2nd edition of the World Mind Sports Games – WMSG – which includes the World Bridge Games (Open, Women & Seniors Teams) – there are still two options and that the final decision regarding the City in which it is to be held will be taken about the 15th of February.

CARDIFF, Wales, from 7/8th to 20th of August Cardiff is the Capital of Wales. It has a small International Airport and is approximately 2 hours from London Heathrow or 20 minutes from Bristol. Cardiff is an interesting city with everything at walking distance. It has plenty of hotels of all categories from 30 to 100 Euros, so inexpensive accommodation is available. Food in the city is not expensive either.

There are two separate venues and it is probable that one would be used for Bridge and Chess and the other one for Draughts, Go and an exhibition of Duplicate Poker and Xiang Qi). The venues are 15 minutes walk from each other. The Games would be sponsored by the Welsh Government and Cardiff City.

Strasbourg, the European Parliament City, is a beautiful city and also has with plenty of hotels in all price ranges. There is an International Airport – and it is 2 ½ hrs by train from Paris.

BK Plesnik Slovinsko zve na druhý ročník svého turnaje. Koná se ve dnech 3. až 7. února 2012 v hotelu Plesnik, Logarska dolina, Solcava, Slovinsko.

Na pořadu jsou dvě kola párového turnaje (vklad 50 Euro) a 11 kol týmového zápolení (vklad 120 Euro). Junioři mají slevu 50 %.

The 6th World University Bridge Championships organized by FISU (International University Sports federation) and the WBF will be held in Reims, France from 9th - 15th July 2012.

We are pleased to invite your University teams to participate in this exciting and enjoyable event.

Following the very successful Championships staged in China (2006), Poland (2008) and Taiwan (2010) where between 20 and 30 University Bridge Teams took part, we would appreciate your help in making this event even more successful.

In order to enter the Championships, you need to contact the University Sport Federation of your country (NUSF): you have to send different forms stamped by the NUSF. The students from universities and high schools have to be accepted by the NUSF and can participate up to 1 year after finishing their studies. They must be between 18 and 28 years old.
